The Ohio State University lower limb symposium
On May 17th, Joanne was invited to present work from EDGE Lab in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State University Lower Limb Symposium, organized by Evidence & Practice. It was a great two days of speakers and demonstration labs geared towards rehabilitation professionals. Many of the presenters focused on the ACL, which of course is a topic near and dear to our hearts π
The audience was made up of physiotherapists, athletic trainers, and physicians for the most part and our ideas around a gendered approach to ACL (and other) sports injuries was a unique addition to this practical, clinically focused event. Attendees (both in-person and virtual) received background information on why we think a gendered environmental approach to sports injury is needed, and then were able to access the More Than Medals online exhibition to see an example of the type of work we are doing to bring positive change to the realm of sports.
Great venue, great people, and a great opportunity to spread the word on EDGE Labβs goals and ambitions! Thank you to Matt Bobman @EvidAndPractice for the invite and the warm hospitality!
